The Fine Print Job
The Fine Print Job
A D&D 5th Edition Adventure for 4–5 Players, Levels 4–6
A dying man's last request. A rival's secret sabotage. A vending machine that dispenses Existential Grief.
You're hired by a wealthy, dying nobleman to destroy an infernal contract before it claims his soul. Simple enough — except nothing about this job is what it looks like.
The party is about to get pulled straight through the front doors of a devil's contract office: badge-swiping lemures, a Signing Automaton that won't let anyone past without proper paperwork, a break room haunted by the ghost of every employee's crushed ambition, and a Records Room stacked floor-to-ceiling with the kind of fine print that really can cost you your soul. Somebody in this building wants the whole place burned down from the inside. The party just doesn't know it's them.
The Fine Print Job is a comedic infernal-bureaucracy heist — equal parts dungeon crawl and corporate satire, built for a table that wants to laugh while they roll initiative. Talk your way past guards, forge the right form, bribe a demon with office supplies, or just start knocking down doors — every room has more than one way through, and the real joke is that hell runs exactly like your worst day at the office.
What's inside:
A complete 3–5 hour one-shot for 4–5 characters, levels 4–6
Full villain reveal, five original stat blocks (including two very reluctant allies), and a Records Room full of secrets
Three tactical battlemaps and a fully realized infernal office, room by room
Original setting content: the Ledger War, an eternal conflict between devils and demons fought not with armies, but with paperwork
Printable player handouts, treasure and magic items, and full DM guidance front to back
No prior campaign knowledge needed. Drop it into any world, any table, any night you want the party to remember why they hate corporate retreats.
